What are the best Messengers for linux? Here is a list of the best Messengers who run on Linux:

1)Pidgin (formerly named Gaim) is a multi-platform messenger (works on Linux, Mac, Windows) which works with al the major messengers systems: Yahoo, MSN, Google, AIM, AOL.  Pidgin is the most used messenger on Linux with over 3 milions of linux users.

2)  Kopete is our second choise for messengers on linux. It also works with all major messenger systems but his problem is that he only works on KDE desktop environment.

3)Yahoo Messengger for Linux a very old version of Yahoo Messenger made by Yahoo for Linux with only the basic features.

4) Yux is an alternative Yahoo Messenger client for Linux systems. Supports almost all of yahoo messenger features except audibles, buddy icons, and voice chats.
